1.  GARRETT ACE 250 Metal Detector

      I have owned two of these detectors.  They are outstanding.  I use them as a back up for my Minelab.  They were bought for my younger children, and were great right out of the box. 

I like these detectors for various reasons.

     1.  Light weight   2.  Can purchase larger coil for even better depth   3.  Extra Easy to use   4.  battery life is great   5.  Notch Discrimination

What I dislike about them.

     1.  Can be a little erratic, especially around wet sand.

These detectors make my top of the shelf item.  It is a definate item for any house hold to own, if only for the ease of use and the notch discrimination, to help find all those lost rings and keys that your little tyke threw out in the yard.
